Are you interested in working as a trainer for our external customers at Nerikes Brandkår?
We are strengthening our team and are now looking for additional trainers for our Training Unit.
The unit is responsible for training individuals from public services, companies, and associations in fire safety, CPR, first aid, and how to act in case of an accident. Many of our training programs are conducted in collaboration with the Fire Protection Association of Örebro County. Currently, the unit trains over 10,000 people annually.
The Municipal Association Nerikes Brandkår is one of Sweden's larger fire services with nine member municipalities, 28 fire stations, and approximately 500 employees. Our ambition is to operate a fire service that is at the forefront – both operationally and in accident prevention. Within our operational area, we cover a wide range: universities, heavy chemical industry, large warehouses, mining, water facilities, university hospitals, airports, and much more.
We are in an exciting phase of expansion and development. The operational collaboration Rescue Region Bergslagen started in 2020, and in November 2023, the joint control center Seglet was completed, where we collaborate with the Police and SOS Alarm. In the spring of 2026, another fire station will be completed and inaugurated in Örebro.

About the position
The position primarily involves planning and leading courses for external customers.
- Plan and conduct training in fire safety, CPR, first aid, or other training as needed, based on your skills and interests.
- Evaluate our training programs, monitor developments in the field, and update training materials as necessary.
- Administration such as invoicing, handling bookings, etc.
- Preparation before and after training sessions, providing materials.
- Other tasks within the unit's area of work.
You will belong to the Training Unit located in Örebro, Nasta fire station. The work involves conducting training both at the station and externally.
Qualifications
You have a degree in Accident Prevention or another education we deem relevant. You hold a driver's license with at least category B; it is desirable that you also have BE.
There may be occasions to conduct training in digital formats, so we believe you are comfortable using digital tools.
Experience in instructional and training work as well as work experience from municipal fire services is desirable but not required. It is also desirable to have the training Supervision and Other Accident Prevention Activities A via MSB.
Competency Profile
The position requires you to be self-driven, proactive, and able to move your own work forward. The workgroup is tight-knit and solves arising problems together. Therefore, we believe you have good collaboration skills, are attentive, receptive, and accommodating towards those you work with.
The planning for the workgroup can change quickly, which requires you to be flexible and able to adapt to changing circumstances.
We see that you have good communication skills, listen and are receptive to the other party, and adapt to the situation. You can express yourself well in the Swedish language, especially in speech. It is desirable that you have knowledge of other languages.
We will place great emphasis on personal suitability.
Employment form and start date
Permanent employment, full-time with immediate start according to agreement.
With employment comes military placement, which means you will be called to serve in the event of heightened preparedness within total defense.
