The Forensic Psychiatric Regional Clinic in Vadstena (RPR) is one of the country's most modern clinics.
RPR has cross-county, regional, and national assignments. We are responsible for inpatient care of mentally disturbed offenders and for involuntary care of mentally ill patients from the correctional services, arrests, and psychiatric units. RPR provides highly specialized forensic psychiatric inpatient care with staff who have a broad competence profile.
We strive to utilize the patient's resources and optimize the conditions for the patient to be reintegrated into society as soon as possible. This should be done in a safe and humane manner to prevent relapse into mental illness, recidivism, and readmission. As a regional clinic, RPR has a special mission to improve knowledge about forensic psychiatric patients and forensic psychiatric care, with research and method development being prioritized parts of the operation. Many of RPR's efforts are carried out in collaboration with other healthcare and community actors, such as courts, correctional services, police, municipalities, and neighboring healthcare providers within the region. RPR has over 200 employees and fundamentally 90 inpatient places. Within the clinic, there are 7 care units, outpatient care unit, employment, wellness, research and development unit, investigation and treatment unit, security and service unit, and administrative staff.

Job Description
We are now looking for caregivers who want to work in forensic psychiatric inpatient care during our vacation period from June to August. The work includes both day and night shifts as well as weekend work. We are looking for employees for all of our inpatient wards.
As a caregiver in forensic psychiatry, you will provide care, support, and safety to patients with severe mental disorders who are also subject to legal decisions. You are an important part of a multidisciplinary team where you contribute to creating a safe and rehabilitative environment. The work involves both care, conversations, and activities that promote patients' recovery and participation. We always work with a focus on good safety and working environment.
You will receive more detailed information about the work during the interview and during the introduction that takes place before work begins.

About You
A nursing education with a focus on psychiatry or an equivalent education assessed by the employer is desirable but not an absolute requirement. Experience working in psychiatry or other healthcare operations is an advantage. You have a good ability to communicate in Swedish, both verbally and in writing, to contribute to a safe and clear care environment.
The assignment may suit you as a student but also you who want to take the chance to try a new direction in your professional life. There may be opportunities for continued employment after the vacation period ends.
We consider it important that you are a team player who contributes positively to the team and has personal maturity. You do this by listening and communicating in a constructive manner. As a person, you are stable and have an easy time adapting your working methods when circumstances require it.
