JOB DESCRIPTION

Karlskrona Tourist Center is looking for visitor information officers for the summer of 2026!

Now you have the chance to share your knowledge and good mood with Karlskrona's visitors. We promise you many pleasant meetings, laughter, and varied tasks.

As a visitor information officer, you are our face to the public and responsible for the important hospitality towards visitors in Karlskrona. Your duties include informing about attractions, guided tours, activities, and what Karlskrona as a tourist destination has to offer, as well as guiding our visitors correctly. Daily tasks also include selling souvenirs, event tickets, and guided tours. Knowledge about our local area and Sweden in general is also needed to provide good service. The work is very much a teamwork effort, but you will also work independently.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for someone who:

• Loves service and hospitality and understands that a smile goes a long way.
• Is a good communicator with great social skills.
• Has good knowledge of Karlskrona's tourism offerings.
• Is curious and solution-oriented.
• Speaks fluent Swedish and English (German, Polish, or other languages are a plus).
• Has a good understanding of using digital tools.
• Ideally has experience in the service industry.
• Ideally has experience in retail or sales.

We are looking for someone who is service-oriented. You show genuine interest in customers and their inquiries and problems.

Employment

During the peak season, Karlskrona Tourist Center is open seven days a week, which means weekend work is required. Since the job involves handling GDPR data and cash management, you need to be over 18 years old. The positions are divided into both full-time and part-time roles during the period of June to August 2026, as well as part-time in May and September.
