ABOUT THE POSITION

We are looking for someone who wants to work as a consultant in occupational health and safety in the role of occupational health engineer for our corporate clients in Karlskrona!

At DEKRA, you will have the opportunity to develop within a broad spectrum of occupational health, environmental, and sustainability services. We offer both short-term and long-term assignments where you will have the chance to build solid expertise. Through mentorship and coaching, we support your professional development and ensure that you grow in your role.

You will be part of a dedicated and experienced team consisting of occupational health engineers, environmental engineers, HSE specialists, and sustainability specialists from across the country – all ready to support you in your work and your continued development.

Examples of assignments within the team:

• Risk assessments and measurements of occupational hygiene limit values
• Development and implementation of systematic occupational health and safety work (SAM)
• Participation in safety committees and workplace inspections
• Implementation of management systems according to ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and ISO 45001
• Internal audits and supplier evaluations
• Product and machine safety
• Interim roles within occupational health, environment, and sustainability
• Conducting training and other exciting assignments

QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

We are looking for someone with previous experience working with occupational health and safety, preferably in a role where you have supported various corporate clients in the field of occupational health and safety. If you also have experience from other related roles, such as EHS specialist/engineer, occupational health or environmental inspector (e.g., from the Swedish Work Environment Authority), sustainability coordinator, or similar, we see this as a significant advantage. Experience from roles such as BAS-P/U or KMA coordinator is also meritorious.

We prefer that you have a relevant university degree in, for example, occupational health and safety, sustainability, environment, chemical engineering, medicine, medical technology, mechanical engineering, or another technical or natural science field. Alternatively, you may have a different educational background that, combined with work experience, provides equivalent competence.

For the role, excellent knowledge of Swedish and English, both spoken and written, is required. A driving license (B) is a requirement. Travel within Sweden is included in the position.
