The Department of Surgery and Urology is a large clinic with surgery, urology, breast and endoscopy outpatient clinics, as well as its own day care unit. We strive to provide the population in the region with surgical care and treatment with great competence and high quality.

At the Breast Center, we have outpatient services where we work together with the Oncology Clinic, Pathology, and the Mammography Unit to provide good care for patients with breast cancer. The Breast Center has regional responsibility and collaboration with the Academic Hospital, which means we have a broad operation within breast cancer treatment.

At the Urology Clinic, we strive to offer urological care and treatment with quality. We conduct planned as well as minor acute operations.

Your Responsibilities

At the Breast Center

You will work at the Breast Center as a contact nurse with telephone advice and your own clinic. You will also work with the “one stop clinic” where women can turn directly if they suspect they have breast cancer. The work involves examining women as a nurse, performing mammograms, ultrasounds, and other tests as needed. An important task for you as a nurse at the Breast Center is to help create a safe and secure care chain for patients affected by breast cancer. Your work may also include surgical planning, which involves planning and calling patients for surgery.

At the Urology Clinic

• Telephone advice
• Assist in cystoscopies, biopsies, and outpatient surgeries
• Conduct nurse consultations including catheter removal, catheter changes, teaching RIK (clean intermittent catheterization), installations, and resource controls.

The role of contact nurse means you will be the patient's contact link and provide patients and relatives with information, advice, and support together with doctors regarding planned and ongoing treatment. The work also includes being responsible for the care plan, telephone advice, and participating in multidisciplinary rounds.

Your Competence

You are a licensed nurse and are used to taking responsibility. You are service-oriented, creative, and structured. A few years of experience as a nurse is required, and experience in surgical care is an advantage. With your willingness and commitment, you want to be part of and help develop the operation. We place great emphasis on personal qualities.

Employment Type

Fixed-term employment with start date as agreed until 2026-12-31. The position is daytime, 40 hours/week, Monday - Thursday 7:30 AM – 5:00 PM and Fridays 7:30 AM - 12:30 PM.
