The Church of Sweden in Södertälje is looking for a priest

The Church of Sweden in Södertälje consists of three parishes (Södertälje, Östertälje, and Enhörna) and has over 100 employees in church activities, parish office, and cemetery management.

Södertälje is an exciting city with great diversity, where a large part of the population consists of Christians from the Middle East with various backgrounds and church affiliations. The Södertälje parish holds services in four churches (S:ta Ragnhild, Lina, Hovsjö, and Tveta), conducts teaching with a growing number of children and youth, and aims to develop outreach diaconal work to reach more people with Christian love and care. The purpose is for people to come to faith in Christ and live in faith, to create and deepen a Christian community, to expand God's kingdom, and to restore creation.

YOUR ASSIGNMENT

• To meet people in various life situations with Jesus as a role model and with outreach work, focusing particularly on vulnerable individuals.
• Lead services and church activities in all our churches and chapels, with an emphasis on S:ta Ragnhild.
• Be involved in diaconal work with pastoral care and support.
• Participate in confirmation and youth work.
• Collaborate with other staff to develop the parish's work.
• Cooperate with the municipality and other actors in civil society to create better living conditions in Södertälje.

YOUR BACKGROUND

We are looking for someone who is ordained in the Church of Sweden, who loves Jesus and sees prayer as an important part of church work. You are secure in your faith and have a desire to share it with others. You are a flexible and responsible person who can work both independently and collaboratively to achieve the parish's goals. You are open and social, easily connect with people, and have good skills in pastoral care.

Start date according to agreement. You must be ordained according to the Church of Sweden's order. A driver's license and access to a personal vehicle are required. Working hours may include evenings, weekends, and camps.
