Job Responsibilities
As an operations technician at Renova, you will be offered a varied job in an innovative workplace where technology, practice, and research meet. Do you have experience or education in power and heat and a desire to learn and develop? Then you are the right person for us!
The tasks vary between control room work and work on-site at the facility located in Sävenäs. You will work with process monitoring, control, and maintenance of our power and heating facility, including waste-fired steam boilers, turbine and generator facilities, flue gas cleaning, water treatment, compressors, pumps, and other associated process equipment. Daily work often consists of new challenges and is carried out in collaboration with the shift team and colleagues from other units. You will be offered continuous development in energy recovery, training, and the opportunity to grow as an operations technician. As an operations technician with us, you will receive favorable working conditions and a secure employment in a wonderful community with a close-knit shift team. We prioritize a safe and inclusive work environment with a focus on sustainability and social benefit.
Renova's waste-to-energy plant in Gothenburg is one of the most efficient in the world. Here we process up to 550,000 tons of combustible waste while producing electricity and heat. Several development projects are currently underway, including fine-tuning of modernized flue gas cleaning and a comprehensive feasibility study for the construction of a carbon capture facility, which you will have the chance to be a part of.
Qualifications

- Good computer skills.
- Experience with ABB800xA control systems is desirable.
- Ability to speak, understand, and write Swedish at an independent level.
- Experience working in process, heat, or waste-to-energy plants is an advantage.
We want you to have the ability to work both independently and as part of a team. Close collaboration with your colleagues is important. Therefore, we want you to be unpretentious, attentive, and have excellent communication and collaboration skills. Furthermore, you are responsible, solution-oriented, and have an interest in new technology. You are interested in working with development issues and are happy to contribute your ideas in the work with continuous improvements in line with our Lean-based approach. Of course, you have an interest in environmental issues!
