The Opportunity
Hitachi Energy is looking for a dynamic and experienced Project Manager to lead large-scale facility projects. In addition, you will also lead the Facility team, set goals, and oversee daily operations related to facility management at HVDC Sweden locations, with Ludvika being the largest site.
This is a unique, once-in-a-lifetime opportunity where you will lead the ongoing execution of real estate projects such as office and test facility expansions as well as our Project Attractive Workplace.
As Project Manager, you will drive projects from planning through execution, ensuring compliance with company policies, contractual obligations, and quality standards. Change Management will be a key part of your work as this is an integral part of many of our projects.
To be successful in this role you are a proactive leader with the ability to work independently. Your excellent communication and interpersonal skills will help you build strong stakeholder relationships and serve as the link between construction processes and real estate operations.
How You’ll Make an Impact
- Lead project teams and oversee project planning, execution and control.
- Monitor progress, budgets, and resource allocation.
- Identify and manage project risks and opportunities.
- Oversee procurement of services, materials, and equipment.
- Develop and implement new processes, standards, and operational plans to impact the achievement of functional goals.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Act as the primary contact for customers and resolve project-related issues.
- Lead and develop a high-performing Facility team.
Your Background
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, business, or a related field.
- Proven experience in project management and previous leadership experience.
- Solid understanding of facility management.
- Background in construction and change management is an advantage.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
- Highly organized, driven, and self-motivated.
- Proficiency in English and Swedish.
- Knowledge of HVDC organization is a plus.
