  • Be responsible for safe and punctual train operations according to applicable traffic plans.
  • Manage any traffic disruptions in collaboration with traffic management.

  • Has a natural sense of service and communication and thrives in a role where safety and structure are in focus.
  • Must be at least 20 years old and have completed high school.
  • Has very good knowledge of Swedish and good knowledge of English.
  • Willing and able to work shifts at all hours of the day.

Previous experience in traffic or service jobs is an advantage, but not a requirement – you will receive all training from us.

About the Employment and Recruitment Process

The work involves shift work – early mornings, evenings, nights, and weekends – and is planned according to a schedule.

The employment begins with a paid full-time training (11–14 weeks) in Blåsut, with course starts on 12/1 (Red & Blue line), 9/2 (Green line), and 23/2 (Red & Blue line). Time off during the course is not possible.

After successful training, you will work as a train operator full-time (100%) or part-time (60%). A 60% employment form means shorter shifts during rush hours on weekdays and longer shifts every other weekend.

The starting salary is 28,018 SEK/month. It is possible to progress in salary steps, but this will require employer certificates; all previous experiences are relevant.

The recruitment process includes several steps, including tests, interviews, security checks, and health examinations according to the requirements of the Transport Agency. All candidates undergo alcohol and drug testing as well as background checks. References will be requested, and two previous managers are required.

The employment form is permanent, with a 6-month probationary period.
