Job Description: Cultural Environment Halland is looking for

Building Conservationist

Cultural Environment Halland is part of the Foundation Halland County Museums, and we work to explore the cultural environments of Halland and how best to care for, use, and develop them. We do this through archaeological excavations and various types of building conservation investigations. We collaborate with many different stakeholders such as municipalities, county administrative boards, regions, and civil society. An important part of our museum mission is to communicate knowledge about and the benefits of cultural environments in public contexts. Responsibilities: As a building conservationist with us, you will have varied tasks, including building conservation investigations, heritage participation, advice, and handling building permit and detailed plan referrals. You will also communicate your area of expertise in connection with public events, exhibitions, and social media.

Qualifications: We are looking for someone with an academic degree as a building conservationist, architectural conservator, or equivalent education. You have at least 5 years of experience in the aforementioned tasks and can perform them independently.

We place great importance on personal suitability. You are solution-oriented, attentive, and collaborate well with both colleagues and external parties. You take responsibility for organizing your projects and ensure that tasks are completed. Certification regarding cultural values is an advantage. We use Photoshop, InDesign, GIS, and the Office suite in our work. Familiarity with these programs is an advantage.

You are proficient in Swedish, both spoken and written. A driver's license is required.

Duration, working hours: Permanent employment. Full-time. Start date February 9 or by agreement.

Salary: Individual salary setting.
