Welcome to the Department of Democracy, Communication, and Security (DKS) in Boden Municipality! In the security unit, we are a tight team working to ensure that Boden Municipality's important operations function, regardless of what happens in the municipality. We work across the municipality in crisis preparedness, civil defense, security protection, information security, and signal protection. Our work is at a strategic level in collaboration with the municipality's administrations, companies, and external actors from local to national levels. Examples of collaborating actors in the area include the County Administrative Board, the Armed Forces, the business community, and civil society.

The role of preparedness coordinator involves working in a highly relevant area with a wide variety of tasks. You will primarily investigate, analyze, support, coordinate, and develop the municipality-wide work with a focus on enhancing the municipality's preparedness.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Your role includes, among other things:

  • Investigating strategic assignments related to the municipality's preparedness issues
  • Driving assignments and projects in preparedness issues
  • Providing support in continuity management to administrations and companies in their preparedness work
  • Identifying risks, suggesting measures, and following up on improvements to enhance the municipality's robustness
  • Planning and conducting training initiatives and exercise activities

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for someone who has:

  • A university degree, preferably in security and preparedness or another university education combined with work experience that the employer deems relevant. For example, in project management, crisis preparedness, civil defense.
  • Good language skills in Swedish, both spoken and written.
  • Experience working in public administration or politically governed organizations.
  • A driver's license is not a requirement but is considered an advantage as the position may sometimes involve travel by car.

It is an advantage if you have:

  • Experience in project management, investigation, and analytical work.
  • Experience working with crisis preparedness and civil defense.
  • Experience in previous roles that have involved a high level of security awareness.

We are looking for someone who is confident in themselves and is results-oriented and self-driven. You thrive in a role where you may need to quickly switch between strategic work and taking action when required. You meet changes and new assignments with calmness, curiosity, and professional sharpness. You have excellent collaboration skills and can quickly understand different perspectives. You are engaged and persistent in your work. Working in a structured manner by planning is natural for you to deliver good quality. We place great importance on personal qualities.

The position is subject to placement in a security class according to statutory requirements (2018:585), which means that background checks, security assessments, and register checks will be conducted before employment. Swedish citizenship is required for the position. The position is part of the municipality's crisis and war organization.
