Pharmacist - Pharmaceutical Production

Pharmaceutical Production is a department under Pharmaceutical Halland, which is part of Halland Hospital's management and operational support.

At Pharmaceutical Halland, there is also the Pharmaceutical Unit, where our common mission is to support the region for an effective, safe, and cost-effective pharmaceutical supply and to be responsible for the region's hospital pharmacy function. Our unit is located at Halland Hospital Varberg, where we are now looking for a pharmacist who wants to contribute to high patient safety and better workflows in healthcare.

About the Position

As a pharmacist with us at Pharmaceutical Production Halland, you will have a varied and developing job where you will, among other things;

  • Work with extemporaneous manufacturing of cytostatic preparations and antibiotic injections.
  • Participate in mechanical dose dispensing for inpatient care.
  • Collaborate in teams and working groups to contribute to a well-functioning pharmaceutical supply.
  • Handle clinical manufacturing trials and pharmaceutical services on care departments as needed.

We often work in teams, both in our core missions and with continuous improvements, which means you will be involved in developing our processes and workflows. With us, you will have the opportunity to grow, take responsibility, and contribute to an exciting development journey together with colleagues.

You will be part of an engaged team of 14 colleagues – pharmacists and pharmaceutical assistants – where we value community, participation, competence, and a pleasant approach.

We offer a workplace where you can contribute to something that really makes a difference. Weekend work may become relevant as healthcare needs pharmaceuticals every day of the week.

About the Workplace

The main goal of Pharmaceutical Production is to support our healthcare operations where we, together with healthcare, develop pharmaceutical management both for increased patient safety and by relieving nurses of tasks.

With us, we work with varied tasks such as manufacturing patient-specific cytostatics (cancer treatment), mechanical production of dose-packaged medications (inpatient doses), and pharmaceutical services in the departments at Halland Hospital, where we manage orders and maintenance of pharmaceutical stocks. We also support healthcare professionals in matters related to pharmaceuticals, from availability and procurement to practical issues regarding purchasing and inventory management. We largely work in accordance with the regulations of the Medical Products Agency and are part of the region's hospital pharmacy function.

Together, we form a well-functioning and driven operation focused on high service spirit and development of both employees and operations. We have good cohesion and care for a good working environment.

Qualifications

We are looking for someone who is a licensed pharmacist or pharmacy technician. It is an advantage if you have extemporaneous authorization. We see it as beneficial if you have experience in extemporaneous manufacturing and/or mechanical dosing operations. We also value that you have knowledge of healthcare-related pharmaceutical supply and hospital pharmacy, as well as good computer skills, preferably with experience in MS Excel and Teams.

Personal Qualities

As a person, you are service-oriented, meticulous, and structured, and have the ability to work with tasks governed by regulatory requirements and established routines. You enjoy taking responsibility while also liking to work together with others. You have a good approach, good collaboration skills, and want to be part of developing our working methods and routines.

We see that you want to contribute and be involved in developing and streamlining our operations so that pharmaceutical production can achieve set goals while continuously working to maintain quality in our core missions. We also see that you are willing to try new things and test new working methods.

We place the greatest emphasis on personal suitability.

Warm welcome with your application!
