JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

Are you a jack-of-all-trades? Are you practically inclined, service-oriented, and want to contribute to students' working environment for the best learning? Then you might consider becoming a school custodian.

As a school custodian, you will be responsible for operational services to primary schools within central Falkenberg with varying tasks and multiple contacts each day.

The position suits someone who is service-oriented, has a knack for practical problem-solving, and can handle physically demanding tasks such as moving and assembling furniture. Examples of tasks include managing inventory, preparing learning environments, reporting faults, minor repairs, ordering and receiving goods, lock and alarm issues, moving and transport, being a contact person for property owners, property managers, emergency services, craftsmen, and other external partners.

In addition to practical tasks, you, like all employees at a school, are responsible for contributing to comfort, safety, and a good school environment. Since the job involves many contacts with different people, it is important that you have good communication skills in Swedish and are good at building positive relationships with both students and adults. During certain periods, you may be in higher demand, and it is important to be able to prioritize, work independently, and be resilient to stress.

Working hours are typically weekdays during the day. Occasionally, longer days or work on a holiday may occur.

QUALIFICATIONS

• High school education is required
• Driver's license (manual transmission) is required
• You have good general IT skills and can manage administrative and communication tools
• You have good communication skills in Swedish, both spoken and written
• You are responsible, service-minded, have good collaboration skills, and can work both in a team and independently

Meritorious

• High school education in one of the following areas: construction, plumbing, electrical, or other education/experience deemed suitable by the employer for the assignment
• Previous experience as a custodian/school custodian or equivalent role is an advantage.
