We make society work for people on the road, on tracks, in the air, and at sea.

That’s why we need the best expertise. Our mission is important and has significance in everyday life – both for individuals and businesses. With us, we take responsibility, treat everyone well, and respect differences. As an employee, you contribute to a sustainable future.

About the Job

What does an Onsite Technician do at the Transport Agency? It may mean that one day you work on preparing new computers for users, only to later support and assist a user in a conference room where the conference equipment is not functioning. The next day, it could involve making a planned trip to another office to assist our external supplier of multifunction printers while also ensuring that network switches are functioning at that office. A few weeks later, you participate with colleagues for several days in setting up workplaces as the operation has moved around the premises. Many days also involve working with ongoing issues and supporting users via phone or on-site, which means we are always present. You will also be involved in developing our systems and services through collaboration with the section's service managers.

We are divided into geographical areas of responsibility across four different offices and have a total of 8 in the group. Our base is in Örebro and is called Digital Workplace; we are responsible for ensuring that the authority has functioning work tools, such as PCs, software, phones, subscriptions, and conference equipment. In total, we will have over 25 employees in the section.

With Us, You Are Important

Do you enjoy working together with others and want to develop in your professional role? With us, you can expect career development, a trusting relationship with management and colleagues, and a sustainable work life. You Will

  • have our office in Borlänge as the base for your daily work
  • conduct troubleshooting of IT and telephony-related issues, conference room equipment, support systems, base applications, and underlying infrastructure
  • work physically with installations of equipment, including lifecycle management and recycling of conference room equipment
  • be local support for the services that the digital workplace delivers to users at the locations
  • travel according to a predetermined plan for up to 30 days/year, usually one to three days in a row to the offices the authority has in other locations.

You Must Have

  • a high school education in IT or equivalent knowledge that we assess as comparable
  • experience working with larger standardized client environments in a corporate setting based on Microsoft Windows OS, MS Office
  • experience handling hardware, networks, mobile devices, and peripherals such as multifunction printers, monitors/projectors, and headsets in a corporate environment
  • experience in troubleshooting within IT and telephony on-site or via phone in a corporate environment
  • the ability to communicate fluently in spoken and written Swedish
  • a valid driver's license (B).

It Is Meritorious If You Also Have

  • experience working with IT support within a public organization (e.g., state, regional, or municipal)
  • familiarity with handling hand tools (e.g., screwdrivers, etc.)
  • previous experience with installations of physical equipment.

We Want You To

  • take responsibility for your tasks, structure your approach, and drive your processes forward
  • be calm, attentive, and accommodating in your interactions, have interest, willingness, and ability to help others, and strive to deliver solutions
  • have good collaboration skills, work well with others, relate to them in a responsive and smooth manner, listen, communicate, and be a good colleague
