We are now looking for an AT/BT Manager for Halland Hospital Varberg. You will be part of the management team of the Development Department, where we have a good and developing climate that provides support and good opportunities for development in the managerial role.

About the Job

As an AT/BT Manager, you will work with recruitment, education, and development together with the AT/BT Manager in the South and the AT/BT team. You will have a unique opportunity to influence new doctors to have a good start in their professional lives. You will collaborate closely with the clinics, build networks, and have a dynamic role. At the same time, there is an opportunity to retain some clinical work or take on other assignments. A good collaboration with the Education Department at the regional office is a valuable success factor, as the Education Department with study directors is responsible for the education of AT and BT doctors in Region Halland.

Region Halland currently has about 100 AT and BT doctors in service and training, distributed between North and South. We are now looking for someone who wants to continue contributing to the development work and create the best conditions for AT and BT doctors in northern Halland. You will have employer responsibility for the North and play a key role in the ongoing transition where AT is gradually phased out and BT is scaled up by autumn 2027. Through teamwork, we have the opportunity to contribute to the development of young doctors and lay the foundation for future medical service in Region Halland.

The assignment means that you will have employer responsibility for all AT and BT doctors placed in northern Halland. You will, among other things:

• Be responsible for recruitment, finances, and working environment.
• Be responsible for service and education.
• Develop and improve the service together with the AT/BT team.
• Contribute to the development and transition from AT to BT.
• Collaborate with coordinators and business developers for other healthcare professions.

The assignment as AT/BT Manager is 80% or according to agreement. The assignment can be combined with clinical work or other assignments.

Qualifications

We are looking for a specialist-competent doctor or a doctor at the end of their ST training with a strong interest in leadership and education issues. Halland Hospital aims to be an education-friendly hospital, so previous educational experience is an advantage. We are looking for a person with good social skills and leadership qualities, and therefore place great emphasis on your personal characteristics and suitability.
