The Role of Nurse/District Nurse with Us

With us, we take responsibility together to have fun at work every day and to be a supportive team. We contribute and share knowledge and experiences to make the mission as good and challenging as possible.

The work includes dialogue and collaboration with several actors where cooperation and problem-solving are a large part of the job. As a nurse focusing on home care in the patient's ordinary residence (stay-at-home) or in a special accommodation (care and nursing home), you are responsible in your professional role for leading the nursing work and together with other employees making a comprehensive assessment of the patient's needs for health care, rehabilitation, and care.

The work is very independent, but you will be part of a team consisting of nurses, physiotherapists/occupational therapists, and nursing assistants. The position will include weekend shifts where you will work in home care throughout the municipality.

Your tasks include, among others:

• managing medications
• administering infusions
• handling medication pumps and other medical technical equipment
• making medical assessments based on each specific event
• performing actions and follow-ups
• telephone advice to nursing staff

As a nurse in home care, you work with many different systems or digital solutions such as digital key management, the journal system Combine, planning system Lifecare, digital signing system Alfa, and incident reporting DF-response.

Your Profile

You have the ability to plan, organize, and prioritize work in a functional and effective way. You are problem-solving, have good collaboration skills, and a flexible approach to your work. As a person, you are attentive and have the ability to meet customers' differences in a professional manner. The work is largely independent and requires you to be initiative-taking, driven, and self-sufficient. You express yourself well in Swedish in both speech and writing, as this is required in daily work. Great emphasis is placed on personal suitability.

We are looking for someone who:

• is a licensed or studying nurse expected to graduate before April 2026

It is an advantage if you:

• hold a B driver's license
• are a district nurse

About Us in Home Care

Home care in Kungsbacka municipality is a large organization with nearly 200 employees, including nurses/district nurses, occupational therapists, and physiotherapists. Home care is responsible for health care interventions for patients of all ages who are enrolled in home care. Patients live in ordinary housing, in care and nursing homes, group homes, short-term housing, or participate in daily activities in the municipality. In close dialogue with patients and relatives, we shape good and safe care. The nursing organization is organized into geographical areas: west, south, center, north, and the smithy/on-call.

Our Offer and Additional Information

We offer a permanent full-time position with placement according to agreement. You will work at Signeshus care and nursing home, but your employment will be under Home Care in the central district.
