About the Unit

The Swedish Armed Forces' purchasing unit is located within the FMLOG (Swedish Armed Forces Logistics) and is responsible for the Armed Forces' procurements and purchases in accordance with applicable procurement legislation. The work we carry out is crucial for the Armed Forces' supply as well as strategic and operational success. We work according to an established category management methodology and continuously focus on competence development.

The purchasing unit consists of seven departments geographically spread across Sweden. We are now looking for purchasers for our External Goods & Services department. We are unpretentious, helpful, and value mutual trust.

Main Responsibilities

In your role as a purchaser, you will among other things:

  • Make orders and call-offs on contracts within assigned areas
  • Conduct procurements for amounts under the direct procurement threshold according to applicable laws, decisions, routines, and instructions.
  • You will also carry out renewed competitive bidding and participate in project work.
  • Your work will also include investigating incoming assignments (orders/needs) regarding status (approval, delivery, channel choice, etc.).
  • Facilitate invoice management through correct purchase orders, order confirmations, deviation management.
  • And continuously support the ordering customer regarding laws, decisions, guidelines, and instructions.

Qualifications

Required qualifications for the position include:

  • Three-year upper secondary school with a focus on economics, purchasing, natural sciences, or social sciences, or equivalent knowledge acquired in another way.
  • Post-secondary education in relevant areas such as economics and logistics. YH education in strategic purchasing or procurement.
  • Knowledge of the Public Procurement Act (LOU) or the Defence and Security Procurement Act (LUFS).
  • Solid knowledge of MS Office, including PowerPoint, Excel, and Word.
  • Good ability to express yourself verbally and in writing, both in Swedish and English.

Meritorious

It is meritorious if you have one or more of these experiences:

  • Experience in call-off and procurement tasks, specifically within the service sector.
  • Experience with SAP or other complex systems.
  • Work in large complex organizations.
  • Working in organizations undergoing change.

Start date as soon as possible according to agreement. The position is a permanent employment that begins with a six-month probationary period. The position is located in Stockholm. Work samples may occur during the recruitment process.
