About FMLOG and the Procurement Unit
The Swedish Armed Forces' procurement unit is located within the FMLOG (Swedish Armed Forces Logistics) and is responsible for the procurement and purchasing of the Armed Forces in accordance with applicable procurement legislation. The work we carry out is crucial for the Armed Forces' supply as well as strategic and operational success. We work according to a well-established category management methodology.
The procurement unit consists of seven departments geographically spread across Sweden. We are now looking for strategic buyers for our External Goods and Services department. In your role as a strategic buyer, you will among other things:
- Independently plan and execute procurements of varying complexity from developing commercial strategies, conducting needs analyses and market research prior to procurement, as well as developing procurement documents, performing bid evaluations, and leading supplier negotiations while ensuring business integrity is maintained.
- Be responsible for maintaining strong business relationships with your suppliers and ensuring continuous contract management and follow-up with your suppliers.
- Build and develop strong relationships with our customers and clients throughout the Armed Forces organization.
Qualifications
Required qualifications for the position include:
- Academic degree in law, economics, logistics, purchasing, or a related field, or a vocational education with a commercial focus and relevant work experience.
- At least three years of current experience in conducting procurements.

- Solid knowledge of MS Office, including PowerPoint, Excel, and Word.
Meritorious

- Experience in category-managed purchasing.
- Experience with procurement regulations LOU/LUFS and contract law.

Personal Characteristics
We value a person who is meticulous, stable, and solution-focused, as well as having the ability to bring people together and build strong relationships with your customers and stakeholders in a responsive manner. You have a very good ability to plan, organize, and prioritize your work. You are persistent and take responsibility for independently and collaboratively delivering good results. The ability to analyze and see the big picture to meet the procurement needs of the Armed Forces is of great importance. It is important that you are a team player and value the team over the individual. Great emphasis will be placed on personal characteristics.
