The Workplace

Here we go the extra mile - Within the Social Administration in Karlsborg, about 250 dedicated employees work to create safety and quality in elderly care, care for people with disabilities, health care, and individual and family care.

In the unit Sjösidan, which will be your new workplace, there are three departments with cozy apartments for people with cognitive impairments. Here, everyday life is close, personal, and characterized by presence. Each department has its own kitchen and common areas where we create social moments and safety – together. We are now facing retirements and increased staffing and are therefore looking for several care assistants. The positions involve work during the day, evening, and weekends according to a schedule.

Job Responsibilities

As a care assistant with us, you work person-centered and always based on the individual's own needs, habits, and conditions. We work with a 24-hour perspective, which means that every effort – big or small – should contribute to safety, continuity, and quality of life throughout the day.

Your mission is to support in all aspects of daily life regarding care, service, and support based on the resident's needs. You should be able to instill safety, provide good care, and perform health and medical tasks as delegated, such as training, administering medication, and wound care. Our primary task is to create safety and a meaningful everyday life for our residents while meeting their daily needs.

Your work includes receiving written and verbal information and documenting in the operational system Viva.

Qualifications

We are looking for you who are a trained care assistant and preferably have experience working with people who have cognitive impairments. With us, you will meet people who need safety, a warm welcome, and professional support in everyday life. Therefore, you need to be able to adapt your working methods to both planned and unexpected needs and feel comfortable taking responsibility and initiative.

You thrive in collaboration with others, contribute to a good atmosphere, and treat both residents and colleagues with respect and dignity. If you are also attentive, curious, and enjoy finding solutions when everyday life presents challenges – then you will fit in really well with us.

Specialist training in dementia is an advantage.
