Paramedic to NU Healthcare

NU Healthcare is part of the Västra Götaland region and is one of Sweden's larger county hospitals. We are located at NÄL (Norra Älvsborg County Hospital) in Trollhättan and Uddevalla Hospital. The hospital's catchment area includes 280,000 inhabitants. Together, we are about 5,000 employees who work every day to provide good and safe specialist healthcare. We are located on the west coast, and our area offers varied nature with both sea, mountains, forests, and lakes.

Ambulance Operations Dalsland Södra

The ambulance operations under NU Healthcare are organized into six sub-areas: Bohus North (Tanum, Strömstad, and Kungshamn), Bohus West (Munkedal, Hallinden, and Lysekil), Dalsland North (Åmål, Bengtsfors), Dalsland South (Dals Ed, Mellerud, and Färgelanda), Trestad West (Uddevalla and Henån), and Trestad East (Trollhättan, Vänersborg, and Lilla Edet).

Our mission is to assess and refer to the appropriate care institution and, if necessary, care for and transport patients. An important part of our work is to always treat patients, relatives, colleagues, management, and other collaborating actors with a positive attitude and with a focus on respect and empathy.

Qualifications

To work as a paramedic, you must have at least assistant nurse competence with additional training in ambulance care for 20 or 40 weeks. You must have a valid emergency driver training. If the training has been completed outside of NU Healthcare, an individual assessment will be made.

You must have good physical capacity. Tests are included in the recruitment process. We place great emphasis on personal suitability, flexibility, the ability to work independently, and social competence.

A Class C1 driver's license is required.

Working Hours

Working hours are scheduled according to an individual schedule with shifts during the day, night, and weekends.

Other

The position is a temporary contract for 12 months. Interviews and tests will be conducted continuously during the application period.
