About us

The Meal Service within the Department of Children and Education prepares approximately 4,000 servings daily for the municipality's schools and preschools and operates the student café at Fridegårdsgymnasiet.

We work closely with our guests and bake most of our own bread. Sustainability permeates everything we do – from reducing food waste to increasing the proportion of vegetarian meals. Our ingredients are carefully selected, featuring Swedish meat and partially organic products.

About the position

We are now looking for a meal assistant with experience working in a preschool kitchen for Skogsbackens preschool. With us, you are part of an engaged team that creates enjoyable meal experiences for children and students every day. The work is scheduled during daytime hours on weekdays without weekends.

Your responsibilities

• Prepare and cook breakfast, lunch, and snacks.
• Serve meals with a smile and provide guests with the best experience.
• Contribute to a sustainable and pleasant kitchen.

We are looking for someone who is:

• Outgoing and service-minded, with previous experience in kitchen work within schools or preschools.
• Interested in food and enjoys working with children and students.
• Flexible, solution-oriented, and takes responsibility.
• Communicates well in Swedish, both spoken and written.

Meritorious:

• Culinary education or ongoing education.
