Do you want a job where no day is the same and where you can use your practical skills to make a difference? As a caretaker with us, you will be part of the Service Department within the Elderly and Care Administration.

Here, caretaking, cleaning, and meal services work closely together to create safe, intact, and well-functioning environments for both employees and those we serve.

We are looking for two caretakers, one of whom will have leadership responsibilities, which means supporting the unit manager with daily operations for you and your colleagues.

As a caretaker, you will work proactively and outreach with everything from assembly, minor repairs, light source replacements to testing fire alarms, reuse, and recycling work. The role also includes heavy lifting and moving furniture between different operations. You play a central role in ensuring that service requests are handled smoothly and that the premises are kept in good condition over time.

The work takes place in various types of operations, from care homes to offices and daily activities, which gives you a varied and social job. Your placement is in Hisingen, but the assignments extend across several units.

Qualifications

We are looking for someone with post-secondary education in property management. You have work experience in caretaking, property management, craftsmanship, or similar. Since you need to travel to different locations within Hisingen, a driver's license (B) and driving experience are required. The position also involves some administrative work, so digital skills and proficiency in Swedish, both spoken and written, are necessary.

It is an advantage if you have knowledge of locks and alarms, as well as experience in reuse and recycling work.

You have an easy time collaborating with others, both your colleagues who are caretakers and other employees in the city. You are someone who plans, organizes, and prioritizes your work effectively. You also have an interest in and a willingness to help others, and you easily adapt your work style based on changing conditions.
