The Health and Care Administration provides service, support, care, and assistance to the elderly and people with disabilities, as well as being responsible for authority exercise according to applicable legislation. The administration conducts activities in elderly care, LSS, social psychiatry, health care, family support, and authority exercise. All work is performed with the resident in focus based on the value foundation; response, participation, trust, and security. Together, we make each other better and work to achieve the vision of quality of life throughout life for the Health and Care Administration.

The department for LSS and social psychiatry is responsible for service, support, care, and assistance to individuals with an approved intervention. The activities include personal assistance, daily activities, group and service housing, short-term stays for children and youth, companions, relief workers, and contact persons, as well as social psychiatry with housing, employment, meeting places, and housing support. A total of about 250 employees work within the department for LSS and social psychiatry.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

With us, about 30 children alternate each month with varying numbers of days in their interventions. They require support due to autism spectrum disorders, intellectual disabilities, and varying degrees of challenging behaviors. We are a warm and wonderful team that works with a user-oriented approach where the user is given support and service based on their individual needs. The intervention can be based on the individual's needs but also on the relatives' need for relief.

Your mission as a support pedagog means that you have an extended responsibility and mandate regarding issues related to pedagogical work that are significant for the user and the development of the activities. The work includes, among other things, establishing routines, working with methods and strategies, ensuring that implementation plans and documentation comply with current legislation, and following up that the user-centered work continues according to the established implementation plan and methods.

The support pedagog's mission is also to monitor the area and participate in the implementation of new evidence-based knowledge in the activities. The mission also includes collaborating with users, representatives, relatives, and other people in the user's network.

In your mission, you are expected to adopt a pedagogical perspective, be quality-conscious, meticulous, and committed to meeting the goals of the activities. You guide colleagues in user-centered work and are actively involved in planned interventions and activities together with the user. In your mission, you need to be able to analyze and find solutions to problems and develop the activities.

As a support pedagog, you are expected to be an engaged and driving person, who cares about the user's independence, self-determination, and creating a functioning and meaningful everyday life for the individual. Through a coaching approach, you strengthen colleagues' ability to reflect and analyze in connection with planning, implementation, and follow-up of the activities. You enjoy working with continuous improvements, quality development, and skills enhancement.

You will work closely with the unit manager, development leader, and other support pedagogs. You will work according to a schedule with irregular hours, with duties approximately every fourth weekend.

QUALIFICATIONS

To work as a support pedagog, a complete vocational college education as a Support Pedagog in the field of disabilities, 200 YH points, is required. You need to have experience in pedagogical work, clarifying pedagogy, knowledge of diagnoses, alternative communication methods, and at least three years of experience working with individuals with intellectual disabilities and ASD. You should have very good knowledge of LSS legislation.

We consider it an advantage if you have experience working as a support pedagog, experience working with children with special needs, and training in low-affect responses as well as knowledge in sign communication. Threats and violence may arise, which means you are expected to work in a low-affect manner and adapt your approach based on the user's needs and issues. You work from a solution-focused perspective and need to handle unforeseen events calmly and safely. If you have a B driver's license, that is also considered an advantage.

As a person, we are looking for someone who is responsible and has a respectful approach. You have no problem working independently, but you see good teamwork as a prerequisite for the development of the work group. Furthermore, you have a pedagogical and motivating approach to both your colleagues and the users, with a strong will and drive to promote people's development based on their conditions. The work requires, based on the extended pedagogical responsibility, that you have good administrative skills, are used to working in documentation programs, and have a good command of the Swedish language in both speech and writing.

Great importance will be placed on personal suitability.
