Welcome to apply to the newly renovated care and nursing home Signeshus in central Kungsbacka! We are located near Kungsbacka station with good communication, with a journey that takes 21 minutes from Gothenburg and 26 minutes from Varberg.

We are now looking for you who love to work with people and want to make a difference for those we are here for! We are seeking staff for day and evening shifts, and permanent weekend work. Are you a trained nursing assistant, studying to become one, and have a strong commitment to making everyday life a little better for our care recipients? Then this position is for you!

The role of nursing assistant with us

In your role as a nursing assistant with us, collaboration with colleagues and home healthcare is crucial to providing high-quality care with a personal focus and a rehabilitative approach. By creating tailored implementation plans and routines for each care recipient, and at the same time striving for a safe and stimulating environment for both them and your work group, you create a meaningful and enriching care experience. We also expect you to be mature enough to mentor interns, students, and substitutes.

You will work with digital tools such as Combine, Intraphone, and Medvind. Your position will include 1-3 different representative assignments and resource shifts. Before starting, you will receive internal training from us in areas such as Developing Employee Participation, group processes, our digital systems, fire safety, and basic hygiene routines, among others.

Your profile

As a person, you enjoy working in a team and find it easy to meet and collaborate with others. You are confident in your professional role and have a professional approach to residents, colleagues, and relatives. Furthermore, you are eager to learn new things and actively participate and engage in the development of the business, being creative in finding new solutions. You have good computer skills and an interest in learning about our digital tools. You express yourself well in Swedish, both spoken and written, as this is required in daily work. Great emphasis will be placed on personal suitability.

About us

The residence will consist of 97 apartments distributed across ten units, including eight dementia units, one somatic unit, and one unit for dementia under 67 years. At Signeshus, we will collaborate with many different units, including home healthcare, two home care groups, night patrol, service team, digital home care, day care, kitchen, property maintenance, and cleaning.

Our offer and additional information

We offer a permanent position where the appointment will be about three weeks before the residence opens. Currently, we do not know exactly when Signeshus will open, but the goal is in April. Some units will open in April and some in August. It may be that you will work at another unit in the municipality within care and nursing during a period while waiting for the relevant unit to open.

Regarding day and evening shifts: The position is full-time or by agreement. The schedule is set for day, evening, and every other weekend. Within the Department of Care & Nursing, all employees in home care and care and nursing homes are employed at a 100% employment rate, but employees have the opportunity to reduce their desired employment rate based on the needs of the business.

Regarding the position for permanent weekend work: You will receive a permanent position where the weekend assignment is limited to six months with a chance of extension. The employment rate is 71 or 85 percent, including time for workplace meetings (APT). With permanent weekend work, you will receive a salary supplement.

As of July 1, 2023, nursing assistant is a protected professional title. When employed as a nursing assistant, you must therefore present proof from the National Board of Health and Welfare to use the title nursing assistant.
