The workplace is centrally located in Stenungsund in the municipal building.

The infrastructure in Stenungsund faces new challenges and an expected high rate of expansion. An increased influx into the municipality from both individuals and businesses means that the municipality needs to work intensively on the development of new areas.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

As a subscriber engineer in water and sewage, you will work with matters concerning both existing and future customers regarding water and sewage. The subscriber engineer plays a significant role in handling incoming inquiries regarding water and sewage applications, from early inquiry stages to issuing invoices when a property has been connected to municipal water and sewage. This includes preparing documentation for orders to the Operations Unit regarding service connections and the connection of new subscribers.

The position also includes gathering information for connected and incoming users such as agreements, easements, and connection points, as well as responding to incoming questions from property owners and developers.

Your role involves a lot of collaboration with other employees in the water and sewage area. You will also have contacts with project managers in development projects or new installations of municipal water and sewage within expansion/transformation areas.

Within the municipality's operations, the subscriber engineer has contact with Exploitation, Diary, and Economic functions. In the position, you are also expected to have contact with and place various orders to internal operations and units in different matters. Externally, you primarily have contacts with property owners but also parties such as the Land Survey Authority.

The assignment also includes driving processes related to tariffs and financial planning together with support functions/consultants/managers. There are great opportunities to influence these areas within the operations.

An important part of the job is meetings and communication with relevant stakeholders such as internal colleagues, property owners, and authorities. This requires you to be attentive, communicative, outgoing, and unpretentious in your work.

QUALIFICATIONS

You have a university degree in water, construction, environment, economics, or land surveying. However, you may also have acquired the necessary skills through work experience that the employer deems equivalent. Good IT skills are also a requirement.

We would like you to have experience in the water and sewage area, but this is not an absolute requirement. Knowledge in economics, law, both general and specific to the water and sewage area, as well as experience in customer service, is also meritorious.

As a person, you are social and enjoy contact with other people. You find it easy to build relationships and create contacts both within and outside the unit. You are a team player with a good ability to absorb information and easily see and understand the big picture. You enjoy juggling many tasks at once and have your own drive to achieve the goals set by the municipality for the administration. You are unpretentious, responsible, structured, and orderly.

The work is independent but requires discipline, accountability, and commitment. Experience in the public sector is desirable.

Your position is based at the Municipal Office on Strandvägen 15 in Stenungsund, which is located right by the sea and just a few minutes' walk from the train station.

Great emphasis will be placed on personal suitability.
