About us

We at the Pediatric Surgery department are now offering a permanent position. We see you as a future colleague in our wonderful team. Our department is located at the top of the new, beautiful children's hospital.

Gothenburg is one of four centers in Sweden for advanced pediatric and adolescent surgery. As a nurse with us, you will work with pre- and post-operative care for children aged 0-16 years. We handle many different diagnoses ranging from congenital malformations to orthopedics and urology. We work in diagnosis-specific teams based on patient-centered care with the family and patient in focus.

Our goal is to provide our patients with good care characterized by our collaborative work in multidisciplinary teams. The operation encourages engagement and development work for children and families.

When you start with us, you will receive an individually tailored introduction under supervision. Educational initiatives and training for acute situations are conducted regularly. Whether you are relatively new to the profession or have worked for a few years, we will ensure that you feel secure in your role to provide the best possible care, and that you become one of our team. There is an opportunity for specialization in pediatric nursing.

About the tasks

We are a highly specialized surgical care department where you as a nursing assistant play a significant role in the pre- and post-operative care of the child.

About qualifications

We are looking for you who are a nursing assistant. We prefer that you have education and/or experience working in pediatric care previously. In our department, we take care of acutely ill children around the clock. To thrive with us, you should be flexible and calmly handle unexpected situations. We seek someone with a positive view of people and good collaboration skills. The patient and their family are always at the center, and in close cooperation, we offer them the best possible care. Most importantly, you have a genuine interest in working with children and their families. Personal suitability is highly valued.
