On behalf of our client, a central player in public administration, Academic Work is now looking for an Archivist for an exciting temporary position. Here, you will be part of a larger socially important effort that contributes to sustainable development in Norrbotten and globally.

ABOUT THE POSITION

In the role of Archivist, you will play a crucial role in the agency's information management, with the release of public documents as your primary task. You are expected to work independently to carry out organization and cataloging work as well as inventorying the archive holdings, as well as leading the practical work with deliveries and relocations of materials. This means you will have both internal and external contacts. An important part of the position is also to act as an expert in archive and document management, where you investigate and implement the disposal of both analog and digital documents, in accordance with national guidelines.

The position is a temporary one starting as soon as possible, preliminarily until December 2026. Since our assignment and work are in constant development, you need to be adaptable to change. This dynamic environment also gives you good opportunities to both broaden and deepen your skills with us.

RESPONSIBILITIES

As an archivist, you are responsible for the correct and efficient management of the agency's archives and public documents, from release and inventory to disposal and management of routines. You act as an expert and also lead work with material deliveries.

  • Work with the release of public documents
  • Carry out organization and cataloging work
  • Inventory of archives
  • Lead the work with deliveries and relocations of materials
  • Investigate and implement the disposal of analog and digital documents
  • Be an expert in archive and document management
  • Manage routines within archive and information management

WE ARE LOOKING FOR YOU WHO

  • Has a relevant university degree or other post-secondary education
  • Previous experience working in archives
  • Knowledge of public administration
  • Good knowledge of the Office suite
  • Good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written
  • Ability to handle changes

It is an advantage if you have:

  • Experience with the release of public documents
  • Knowledge of cataloging and disposal issues
  • Experience from record keeping
  • Familiarity with union issues
  • Familiarity with General Regulations
