Description

The municipality of Vänersborg is now looking for a dedicated caretaker for Property and Service.

We are looking for someone who wants to contribute with the best service, quality, and development.

Responsibilities

• Provide support related to the digital workplace, handling digital tools to assist operations with simpler IT issues, connecting certain IT equipment and welfare technology
• Manage incoming error reports and work orders
• Property maintenance that we are responsible for according to the property owner and agreed with our customers
• Plan and execute maintenance systematically
• Maintenance of inventory and equipment
• Preparation of premises and equipment
• Customer contacts with, for example, managers and employees
• Some lock and alarm management
• Actions in case of vandalism and burglary
• Environmentally focused waste management
• Preventive work against damage

Qualifications

We are looking for someone with a high school diploma in a relevant field, such as construction, property management, caretaking, technology, or extensive and versatile work experience in the field. You have basic IT skills and are proficient in Swedish both spoken and written. A B driver's license is required for the position.

We prefer candidates who have worked with case management systems. Since the position involves some physically demanding tasks, good physical condition is a prerequisite. You take responsibility for your own and the shared tasks and have the ability to plan independently and together with others. You adapt easily to new situations, are flexible in rapid changes, can prioritize, and have a pronounced service mindset.

You enjoy working together with other colleagues and contribute to a good collaborative climate both internally and externally. You want to work in environments with educators and children, for example, in a preschool/school. It is essential to have a security mindset in both the internal and external environment. You can assess risks in work and environments and work preventively for a safe environment for everyone. Advanced IT skills are a merit.

Conditions

According to the Education Act, an extract from the police's criminal record must be presented by individuals before they are employed to work in premises where we have preschool activities, schools, and school-age childcare. You can order this on the Police's website.

In our properties, there are many different operations that are important for the residents, entrepreneurs, and visitors of Vänersborg Municipality, such as schools, preschools, special housing, sports/leisure facilities, and administrative buildings. These include over a hundred properties, spread across the municipality, covering approximately 280,000 m².

The operation is responsible for the management, operation, and service of the municipality's properties with cleaning, property managers, caretakers, carpenters, and operations technicians. Within Property and Service, there are also land and development, procurement officers, project managers for new and renovation projects, administrative officers, and reception.

Energy efficiency, strategic local supply, internal rental agreements, and operational economics are other tasks that are the responsibility of the operation. The operation has about 125 employees and four unit managers.
