Job Description

As a production engineer at SAAB, you will be an important part of the manufacturing flow where you collaborate closely with operators, manufacturing managers, and colleagues in production engineering teams. The role suits you if you have a background in production and have further developed your technical skills through a post-secondary engineering education. Here you will have the opportunity to apply your theoretical knowledge in practice by working on improvements, analyses, and optimization of processes.

Your responsibilities include:

• Analyzing and optimizing manufacturing flows and processes to ensure efficiency and high quality.
• Managing deviations and suggesting improvements.
• Supporting operators in handling new technologies and tasks.
• Developing instructions, preparations, and routines for manufacturing processes.
• Contributing to the standardization of work methods and processes.
• Collaborating with various teams to structure and prioritize technical tasks.

Requirements

We are looking for a senior production engineer, preferably with several years of experience in the field, and who has a vocational education in production technology. We would like you to have external experience and knowledge from other companies and industries to contribute new perspectives and influences.

We expect you to have:

• Vocational education in production technology, mechanical engineering, mechanics, or equivalent.
• Several years of experience in a production environment, preferably as a production engineer or in a similar role.
• Good theoretical understanding of production flows and technical processes.
• Ability to work both analytically and practically with a focus on improvements.
• Previous experience from working in a manufacturing industry, preferably in high-tech production.
• Experience in driving and implementing improvement initiatives, for example within the framework of Lean or other production methods.
• Good knowledge of Swedish and English, both spoken and written.

The position requires you to undergo and be approved according to the applicable regulations for security protection. For positions where Saab has requirements for security classification, this may, in certain cases, involve requirements for specific citizenship.
