JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

As a care assistant in home care, you have many different tasks. Based on individual assistance decisions, you support care recipients in managing their daily lives. This may involve service tasks (laundry, cooking, outdoor activities), care tasks (personal hygiene, mobility, self-care), and/or medical tasks. The work is performed in the care recipient's home.

The care assistant's responsibilities also include being a primary care contact, establishing and following up on implementation plans, and documenting in our journal system. You work in accordance with the Social Services Act (SoL), but also perform health and medical care tasks (HSL assignments) after delegation from authorized personnel. You often work alone with our care recipients, but always with a sense of teamwork. You take your share of the responsibility for a good psychosocial work environment.

Working hours are distributed across days, evenings, and weekends. You have the opportunity to propose your own schedule within given frameworks. You use a service bicycle for transport between our care recipients.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for someone who is a trained care assistant and has a professional certificate from the National Board of Health and Welfare. Alternatively, you may have qualifications that can be assessed as equivalent.

You have excellent knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written. You enjoy cycling. You have a positive outlook on life, want to develop, and are solution-focused. You thrive on taking responsibility and working independently. You have good communication skills and can build trusting relationships. You can collaborate in interdisciplinary teams for the benefit of the care recipient. You have a personal drive to manage your tasks and actively seek the knowledge you need in a challenging and changing environment. You show empathy, respect, and warmth in your interactions with care recipients.

You understand the importance of information transfer and documentation in an operation that runs 24/7. You have documented good collaboration skills and are adept at communication with colleagues, nearby professionals, care recipients, and relatives.
