The Building Function handles administrative matters within the Planning and Building Act and associated regulations. The function consists of a total of seven employees. There is also a position for a housing adaptation officer who handles matters according to the Housing Adaptation Act.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
We are looking for someone who wants to be an important part of our team and work with the processing of the technical aspects of building permits and notification matters. As a building inspector, you will be part of a team consisting of building inspectors, building permit officers, building permit architects, and housing adaptation officers.
In this role, you will primarily handle the technical aspects of building permits and notification matters and work independently with great responsibility. You will, among other things:
- Lead technical consultations
- Decide on control plans
- Conduct site visits
- Make decisions on start permits
- Hold final consultations and issue final decisions
An important part of the job is also to provide advice and information on building issues and to primarily handle the technical aspects of building permits and notification matters. There is a strong focus on supervision in the position. The job includes making independent decisions in accordance with applicable legislation and delegations.
QUALIFICATIONS
For the position, you are required to have a university degree as a civil engineer, building inspector/building permit officer, control responsible, or other education that the employer deems equivalent.
As a person, you are service-oriented, resilient under stress, and have a very good ability to collaborate. You are self-assured, proactive, and can work independently when required. You find it easy to build good relationships and communicate clearly in Swedish, both verbally and in writing. Good administrative skills and computer proficiency are necessary to plan, structure, and carry out the work effectively.
Personal suitability is highly valued. A driving license (B) is a requirement.

The position is a fixed-term employment until December 31, 2026. There may be a possibility of extension.
