Building Function

The building function handles administrative matters under the Planning and Building Act with associated regulations. The function consists of a total of seven employees. There is also a position for a housing adaptation officer who handles cases according to the Housing Adaptation Act.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

We are looking for someone who wants to be an important part of our team and work with the processing of the technical aspects of building permits and notification matters. As a building inspector, you will be part of a team consisting of building inspectors, building permit officers, building permit architects, and housing adaptation officers.

In this role, you will primarily handle the technical aspects of building permits and notification matters and work independently with significant responsibility. You will, among other things:

• Lead technical consultations
• Decide on control plans
• Conduct site visits
• Make decisions on start notices
• Hold final consultations and issue final notices

An important part of the job is also to provide advice and information on building issues and to participate in the administration's supervisory work. The position includes making independent decisions in accordance with applicable legislation and delegations.

QUALIFICATIONS

For the position, you need to have a university education as a civil engineer, building inspector/building permit officer, control manager, or other education that the employer deems equivalent. Experience in public authority work in similar roles is a requirement. You also need to have good knowledge of the Planning and Building Act and a good ability to understand, interpret, and apply Swedish legislation.

We would like you to have experience working with cases under the Planning and Building Act and its associated regulations, such as the National Board of Housing, Building and Planning's building regulations (BBR), as well as knowledge of the Local Government Act, the Administrative Procedure Act, and the Environmental Code.

As a person, you are service-oriented, resilient under stress, and have excellent collaboration skills. You are confident in yourself, proactive, and can work independently when required. You find it easy to build good relationships and communicate clearly in Swedish, both orally and in writing. Good administrative skills and computer proficiency are necessary to plan, structure, and carry out work effectively.

Personal suitability is highly valued. A driver's license (B) is a requirement.
