Aleris Rehab Station has been conducting neurological rehabilitation primarily for people with spinal cord injuries, MS, stroke, and Parkinson's disease since 1987. We also have agreements for patients with orthopedic injuries, multi-trauma, and advanced wound issues.

Aleris Rehab Station has an active collaboration with national and international actors in rehabilitation and research. We have an active R&D operation with several exciting ongoing projects and several PhD employees.

At Aleris Rehab Station, the medical team consists of senior physicians with extensive experience in both the business and rehabilitation medicine. We also have junior doctors and several residents.

The Spinal Clinic is an outpatient specialist clinic for adults with spinal cord injuries and adults with spina bifida in the Stockholm region. The clinic has over 1500 registered patients who are offered outpatient rehabilitation and regular medical follow-up. The clinic has several nurses and paramedics with extensive knowledge of spinal cord injuries and several specialist consultants. We continuously work on good collaboration with specialists with expertise in issues relevant to spinal cord injured patients. 

The Role

The position includes regular outpatient work as well as admissions and discharges in day rehabilitation, team rounds, referral assessments, supervision of residents, and internal training. You will also have continuous collaboration with several specialist consultants such as neuro-urologists, pain specialists, hand surgeons, plastic surgeons, orthopedic surgeons, and neurosurgeons.

The position is scheduled for weekdays during the day.

About You

• We are looking for a specialist physician in rehabilitation medicine, neurology, general medicine, or a related specialty.
• We prefer that you have several years of experience in rehabilitation work, preferably with a focus on neurorehabilitation.
• Experience in supervising and teaching colleagues is an advantage, as we see learning and knowledge sharing as a natural part of the work.
• As a physician, you play an important role in the team, and we therefore see that you appreciate teamwork. We value commitment, collaboration skills, and flexibility – it is important with us to take responsibility, contribute ideas, and be part of the team.
• If you have experience or interest in research and development (R&D), it is a big plus.
