The company is in an exciting growth phase and is now looking for a Designer in electrical engineering and power to help strengthen ENACO's position as a leading partner in critical infrastructure.

About the position

The role of Designer in electrical engineering and power involves developing robust, cost-effective solutions for electrical installations in technically demanding environments – often related to data centers. You work through the entire chain: needs analysis, sizing and technical calculations (e.g., load, short-circuit, and selectivity), material specifications and cost estimates, as well as the preparation of drawings and technical descriptions. 

Together with sales, you present proposed solutions to customers and provide ongoing technical support to project managers and colleagues in the delivery. You ensure that solutions comply with applicable requirements and standards and contribute to developing methods, templates, and working methods within the team.

The assignments span both the private and public sectors and include medium-sized and large companies, organizations, and authorities, as well as international companies. Customers have high demands for operational reliability, and here you design technically advanced, socially critical solutions with a clear impact.

Qualifications and characteristics

You are a meticulous and business-minded designer who enjoys being close to the operation and the customer. You seamlessly switch between analysis, technical design, and calculations while creating clear documents that drive projects forward.

• Post-secondary education in electrical engineering or equivalent experience
• Several years of experience in electrical and power design (LV/MV)
• Ability to perform technical calculations (load, short-circuit, selectivity) and cost estimates
• Familiarity with CAD/E-CAD and producing drawings and technical descriptions
• Knowledge of UPS, backup power, switchgear, transformers, grounding, and DC systems
• Knowledge of relevant regulatory requirements, laws, and standards
• Very good knowledge of Swedish and English
• Driver's license B and approved security clearance with background check
• Personal characteristics: organized, proactive, customer-oriented, business-minded, collaborative, and technically curious

Desirable experiences

• Projects from data centers/server rooms or other mission-critical environments
• Experience with selectivity plans, power quality measurements, and energy calculations
• Sizing and application of backup power/UPS and battery architecture
• Energy efficiency and life cycle calculations for electrical installations
• Coordination with adjacent disciplines (cooling, fire, security) in multidisciplinary assignments
• Participation in tendering work – calculations, technical appendices, and customer presentations
• Method and template development in design/planning
