About Us

Welcome to develop and grow with one of Sömland's largest employers! The Pharmaceutical Center in Sömland has a coordinating responsibility for pharmaceutical issues within Region Sömland. We are now looking for a pharmacist or pharmacy technician with a strong interest in preparation issues, who wants to work with us and become a part of our team. Our current team for pharmaceutical supply consists of three pharmacists, two pharmacy technicians, and one nurse. In the spring of 2026, we will take over the pharmaceutical supply in-house, where the preparation operations are one of the components.

Your Responsibilities

The Pharmaceutical Center is seeking a GMP-responsible pharmacist in preparation for the takeover of the pharmaceutical supply in-house, which will take place on May 1, 2026. We are looking for a development- and quality-oriented pharmacist who, together with the pharmacists at the Pharmaceutical Center, can prepare for the takeover of the preparation units. In the units, both cytostatics and other sterile extemporaneous preparations are made. The preparation operation also has on-call duty from home. You will participate in the work of building the preparation operation in-house. As GMP-responsible, you will be responsible for preparation regulations, procedures, other quality documents, and validations. The region has a brand new sterile room that will be put into use in the spring of 2026. The new facility offers great opportunities to develop and expand the sterile preparation operations based on the needs of healthcare. You will be involved in the region's new processes and procedures for preparation. You will work closely with the unit manager and other colleagues at the Pharmaceutical Center as well as with nurses and doctors in healthcare. There are also excellent opportunities for collaboration and exchange of experiences with GMP-responsible individuals and preparation units in other regions.

The Pharmaceutical Center has a broad area of responsibility, and there may also be other tasks based on interest, qualifications, and needs.

As GMP-responsible with us, you will among other things

  • be responsible for the quality of the preparation process
  • work with the preparation of cytostatics and other sterile extemporaneous preparations
  • follow up on deviations, train staff, and be responsible for validations.

Your Qualifications

You have a genuine interest in preparation issues and an understanding of how healthcare works. Your work is characterized by precision, and you place great importance on meeting quality standards. You are service-oriented and have a broad perspective on issues, enjoy analyzing and solving problems, and want to work with continuous improvements. Collaboration with others is very important. You should be comfortable expressing yourself verbally and in writing. You feel at ease conducting presentations in small or larger groups. You should have good computer skills and be proficient in the Office suite (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint). We place great importance on your personal qualities.

Job Requirements

  • Licensed pharmacist or licensed pharmacy technician
  • Formal preparation competence
  • Experience in pharmaceutical preparation in a hospital pharmacy or equivalent
  • Experience in quality work
  • Driver's license or ability to reach the hospital outside regular working hours.

Desirable for the position is the required competence in GMP for pharmaceuticals.
