About the assignment

The role concerns a resource consultant – Senior Project Engineer for Project Unit 2 Railway within Investment, Western region (IVvrj2). The consultant will primarily work on the Alingsås–Olskroken contact line replacement project but may also support other projects within the unit depending on needs. The assignment also includes assisting other units within the Investment area in the Western region as needed.

About the role

As a Senior Project Engineer, you will work as project management support in Trafikverket's railway projects, collaborating closely with the project manager and project organization. The role requires independence, good coordination skills, and the ability to drive issues forward, as well as contributing to structure, planning, and follow-up in the projects.

Your responsibilities include, among other things:

  • Support the project manager and project organization in planning, control, and coordination
  • Establish, update, and follow up schedules in MS Project
  • Manage the project's finances, forecasts, and follow-ups (PLS/C7, CDI)
  • Work with requirement lists, control programs, and handling deviations
  • Coordinate risk work and prepare decision-making material
  • Participate in procurements, inquiries, and evaluations
  • Manage external communication and coordination with relevant stakeholders
  • Handle documentation, minutes, record-keeping, and functions in the project's system support
  • Participate in and, if necessary, lead collaboration meetings

Mandatory requirements

The consultant must meet the following competency requirements, and all requirements must be documented in the CV:

  1. Proficiency in Swedish and English in reading, speaking, and writing.
  2. Post-secondary education in construction or civil engineering or industrial economics, at least 180 credits.
  3. Driver's license for passenger cars.
  4. Contract law.
  5. At least 3 years of work experience as a project engineer in the last 5 years within railways.
  6. The resource must have work experience in railway projects. Must have participated in projects with a project budget of at least 400 million SEK.
  7. The resource must have work experience in all phases of railway projects; railway planning phase, construction documentation phase, production phase as a project engineer, construction engineer, or project manager.
  8. Project management training.
  9. Collaboration leader – basic course
  10. BASÄVISTA* / verified via certificate *(the training can be supplemented later, but no later than 1 month after contract signing).

Assignment information

The contract is valid from 2026-02-23 to 2027-02-22.

Option: The client has the unilateral option to extend the contract with existing contractual terms for an additional 12 + 12 months.

Scope: The workload for the assignment is 80–100 percent of the annual working time for a consultant, with an annual working time of 1,700 hours.

The stationing location is Gothenburg. Work may also occur in other locations, depending on which phase the projects are in. This may involve working at the project's site office several days a week. There is an opportunity for remote work, which will be done in agreement with the responsible manager.
