Job Responsibilities

In this role, you will combine strategic thinking with short-term coordination. As a system administrator with coordination responsibility, you will guide the team through our annual cycle while ensuring the development of structures that strengthen the entire organization. You will support the system administrators and unit manager in daily operations by holding meetings and ensuring that planning and follow-up are carried out on time.

You will play a key role in establishing routines and working methods to comply with the upcoming cybersecurity law. You will balance the organization's need for availability and functionality with the requirements for an adequate level of cybersecurity. This means ensuring that we work long-term and structured, yet pragmatically, so that security requirements do not hinder our ability to deliver societal benefits.

The role involves close collaboration with other system administrators and project managers, as well as with the administration's information security coordinator. Your focus will be on technical IT security, and you will be an important cog in the overall information security work.

You will, among other things:

Coordinate and lead the system administrators' weekly meetings
Coordinate planning and follow-up of management objects according to our annual cycle
Develop and anchor routines and working methods for the secure operation of our IT systems and networks
Investigate and report IT incidents
Act as project manager for a management object

Qualifications

We are looking for someone who has:

Post-secondary education in IT, systems science, or similar that we consider equivalent for the position
At least three years of work experience as a project manager and/or system administrator
At least two years of work experience in IT security, for example:

Incident management
Trained in IT security
Conducted risk and vulnerability analyses
Security monitoring
System hardening

Experience as a coordinator, team leader, or having group responsibility for at least two years

Meritorious

Certifications or advanced courses in cybersecurity, network security, or information security.
Coaching/leadership training
Experience with ISO 27001
Experience in complex IT environments.
Experience in training on IT security

To succeed in this role, you need to communicate clearly and adapt your message to the audience. Additionally, you are structured, think holistically, and see what needs to be done in the long term.

The Digitalization Unit's mission is to support managers and employees in matters related to IT, digitalization, and GIS. We manage more than 50 IT systems, many linked to geographic information. The systems are intended to support our operations in their tasks related to land allocation, excavation permits, winter road maintenance, climate change, traffic regulation, and much more that aims to improve and simplify life for the residents of Malmö.
