Academic Resource is looking for a business-driven Buyer for a high-tech company that develops sustainable solutions for the future. Our client is a well-established company at the forefront of environmental technology. Here, you will play a central role in the purchasing function in close collaboration with production, technology, and management.

About the company:

Our client is a prestigious technology company with extensive experience in developing innovative machines and systems in areas such as biogas, fuel cells, heat pumps, and cooling systems. The operations are consolidated in one location southeast of Stockholm, where offices, R&D, workshop, and laboratory are all under one roof.

The company operates internationally but has short decision-making paths and an entrepreneurial culture – perfect for you who want to influence and take ownership of your work.

About the role – Buyer

As a Buyer, you will be responsible for identifying, procuring, and acquiring goods, services, and materials for the organization. The main focus is to ensure cost efficiency, high quality, and timely delivery while contributing to the company's technical development and sustainable growth.

Your main responsibilities:

• Identify, evaluate, and develop suppliers within the industrial sector.

• Negotiate prices, contracts, and delivery terms to achieve the best possible business results.

• Collaborate closely with production, planning, and the technical department to ensure the right materials at the right time.

• Forecast needs and plan purchases based on production flows and demand.

• Follow up on deliveries, quality, and supplier performance and manage any deviations.

• Analyze market trends and contribute to developing our purchasing strategies.

• Ensure proper documentation and compliance with internal procedures and external requirements.

Qualifications:

• At least 3 years of experience in purchasing within a manufacturing industry or production.

• Strong negotiation skills and understanding of technical products or production processes.

• Works in a structured, analytical manner and thrives in a fast-paced environment with many contact points.

• Relationship-building and communicative, with the ability to collaborate both internally and externally.

• Proficient in Swedish and English, both spoken and written.

• Experience with business systems Monitor or SAP and strong Excel skills.
