NU-sjukvården consists of NÄL in Trollhättan, which is a complete emergency hospital, Uddevalla hospital, which is an advanced hospital for planned specialist care, and Brinkåsen in Vänersborg, which is a state-of-the-art care environment for psychiatric inpatient care. The breadth of patients makes the work exciting and varied.

Working with us

As a nursing assistant/care assistant, you will meet patients in need of medical care and rehabilitation. You work closely with the patient, which requires a great interest in people and the ability to understand the patient's situation and needs. Your work will also include documenting the patients' conditions and the actions taken.

Since you will cover for our regular staff who are on vacation, it is important that you are available to work throughout the entire vacation period. Therefore, you need to be available for work during weeks 25-32.

Qualifications

Care and Nursing Program or equivalent. Specialization and/or experience in emergency care is an advantage.

Your personal suitability is highly valued, and we are looking for someone who is flexible, responsible, solution-oriented, and has good collaboration skills.

Great emphasis will be placed on personal suitability.

Our unit managers interview and hire continuously throughout the application period. Therefore, we encourage you to apply now!

If you have preferences or experience from a specific department, please indicate this in your application, and we will try to accommodate your wishes, but it is primarily the needs of the department that will determine where you will be placed.

We would like you to attach your grades/certificates from the Care and Nursing Program and your proof of protected professional title as a nursing assistant in your application. If you are currently studying to become a nurse or doctor, we would like you to attach grades/study certificates from your ongoing studies.

NU-sjukvården operates around the clock, which means that you may work days, evenings, nights, and weekends.

Information

As of July 1, 2023, the title of nursing assistant became a protected professional title. This means that you need proof from the National Board of Health and Welfare to use the title of nursing assistant within healthcare and social services.

If you do not have proof, you can continue to work in healthcare and social services, but with a different title than nursing assistant. For those offered a summer substitute position with us at NU-sjukvården, this means that the title in your employment contract will be care assistant if you do not have proof of protected professional title as a nursing assistant.
