Job Responsibilities

Together with your future colleagues at Sandrosen, you will work in our organization to provide joy and knowledge to our 24 children of mixed ages every day. You will be with the children in all moments during a day at preschool and contribute your expertise to the educational activities.

At Sandrosen, we work in teams with both preschool teachers and childcare workers. As a preschool teacher, you plan the work, conduct follow-ups, and analyze to improve and develop our operations together with colleagues, the principal, and the board. You are responsible, together with us, for ensuring that the activities challenge the children to engage in activities, learning, and responsibility according to the intentions of the curriculum. You work to ensure that the teaching is of high quality and based on scientific principles and proven experience.

Qualifications

You are a licensed preschool teacher, with a good knowledge of governing documents and a strong desire to develop the operations together with colleagues. We want you to have good knowledge of, or the ability to quickly learn, digital tools for educational documentation.

You have a professional attitude and are confident in your professional role. You are responsible, engaged, flexible, and curious about the challenges and advantages that a cooperative preschool entails.

As a person, you are secure, stable, and have the ability to create good relationships with both children, parents, and colleagues. You have a strong interest in and commitment to children's development and learning.

Previous experience working in a preschool is an advantage.

We work with ongoing selection in our positions, which means that we contact and interview candidates during the application period. Great emphasis will be placed on personal suitability as we care about a well-functioning staff group.

You must be able to present a valid extract from the Police's criminal record register.

About the Preschool

Sandrosen is a small family-oriented preschool with 25 children aged 1 to 5 years. Our preschool is located in Åled, ten kilometers outside Halmstad. We are situated in a residential area where the preschool is in a house with a large garden near the forest, which we often visit together with the children. The preschool is run as a parent cooperative where the board is the employer.

At Sandrosen, we strive to create a sustainable, safe, and democratic preschool. We are therefore very careful to make adjustments according to each child's needs and conditions.

We consider sustainability in everything from board decisions and purchases to outdoor environment and educational elements in children's activities. We create conditions to give children's play the best opportunities and for children to develop their joy and knowledge. We work on various projects based on children's curiosity and interests grounded in the curriculum.
