Peder Skrivares School (PS) offers several national upper secondary programs that can be combined with developing education in sports, Young Entrepreneurship, Technical College, or Health and Care College. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

We are currently looking for a teacher in mathematics and chemistry for Peder Skrivares School!

You will teach mathematics and chemistry in the Natural Science program and the Technology program at Peder Skrivares School. You will clarify the goals of the teaching and communicate these in an understandable way to the students while assessing their achievement and assigning grades. You will be a mentor for a class in the Natural Science program. As a mentor, you play an important role in supporting students by having a good understanding of their needs, following their studies, and actively working to help them achieve their high school diploma. You build strong relationships with the students and maintain regular contact with guardians to create a safe and supportive learning environment.

Through collaboration with teaching colleagues, student health services, and school management, you contribute to creating a positive school environment where students thrive, develop, and achieve their goals. You actively participate in various collegial contexts where you both share and develop your subject knowledge as well as your pedagogical and didactic skills. It includes handling tasks related to the school's chemistry labs, such as purchasing and managing laboratory materials.

To thrive in this role, it is important that you actively participate in the subject team's work and appreciate collaborating with colleagues, students, and other staff at the upper secondary school. Together, you work to create the best conditions for each student's success.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for someone who has a secondary school teacher's degree with authorization to teach mathematics and chemistry.

You have a teaching license and are well-versed in the school's governing documents. You use digital tools naturally in your teaching and planning and see them as an obvious part of your pedagogical work. You are motivated to support others' learning and create good conditions for knowledge to develop. With your pedagogical skills, you explain content and context clearly, adapted to different individuals and perspectives. You encourage dialogue, participation, and engagement in the classroom. You are a team player who enjoys collaborating to achieve common goals. You thrive in teamwork and see the value in working together for the best of the students. Your commitment and ability to create good relationships contribute to a positive and respectful work environment. You inspire and capture interest in the subject through clear and engaging communication.

Flexibility is one of your strengths; you adapt quickly to changing conditions and have a structured, goal-oriented approach. At the same time, you are open to trying new methods and ways of working. You have a good ability to listen and show respect for others' perspectives, which creates safety and camaraderie in the work group. You also see challenges and mistakes as a natural part of the learning process. You work independently and take responsibility for your tasks. You are proactive and act responsibly based on what the situation requires. Significant emphasis is placed on professional experience and personal suitability.
