Your mission In the role of care assistant/caregiver, you will start from the individual needs and wishes of the residents and provide support in daily life based on a pedagogical approach. Together with other employees, you work towards the goal of making the day meaningful and rich in content. You support and guide with personal care, meals, medication management, cleaning, community contacts, and communication. An important part of the work is to stimulate and motivate the resident to develop their abilities and create opportunities for an active and meaningful leisure time. Your tasks include documenting and planning based on implementation plans. During night shifts, two care assistants work with awake night supervision and care work. Cleaning, laundry, and other tasks are included in night shifts.

About Grännäs Strand Grännäs Strand care home is located with a sea view in Valdemarsvik. The accommodation was built in 2008, adapted for our target group. If you take the bus to Valdemarsvik, it takes 15 minutes to walk to the Grännäs area where Grännäs Strand is located. The residents live in their own accessible apartments with bathrooms and kitchenette. At Grännäs Strand, about 35 care staff work today, many of whom have long experience and high competence for our target group. The accommodation is staffed around the clock, all year round, with awake staff at night. We have our own chef and adapted food for our target group. A nurse is available around the clock and works during the day in the operation. Our doctor rounds once a month and is always available for consultation by phone. We have access to an occupational therapist, physiotherapist, and speech therapist who follow up on training and assistive needs every other week. As a care assistant, you work during the day, evenings, and weekends according to a schedule, and the degree of employment can vary. You have a manager close to you who spends part of their time working in the operation. This could also be a career opportunity for you.   Here we work with animals in care, and we have regular visits from the therapy dog Bella.

Your experience and knowledge We guess that you who are applying to us:  • have a positive outlook and a strong commitment to people • are responsible and have personal maturity • enjoy working in a team and supporting your colleagues You have at least a high school education in care and nursing, other equivalent education or experience. It is an advantage if you have experience working with the target group. You have a driver's license. You have good computer skills and experience with documentation. Good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written, is a requirement, but otherwise, your CV is not the most important. If you have the right qualities, we will provide you with support and the opportunity to grow.
