ABOUT THE POSITION

Alfakomp is a Swedish company founded in 2005, based in Jordbro, Stockholm. They specialize in gas analysis, gas alarms, and pipeline components such as quick couplings, valves, and hoses. The business includes complete systems for gas analysis and gas alarms – from portable solutions to fixed installations – as well as a wide range of components for hydraulics and chemicals. Alfakomp is located in fresh, newly renovated premises in Jordbro, where you will be part of an engaged and knowledgeable team focused on quality and service.

As a service technician at Alfakomp, you will work with service, maintenance, and repair of measuring instruments for gases used in environments such as tunnels and chimneys. You will perform calibrations, troubleshooting, and repairs in Alfakomp's workshop, as well as calibrations of gas alarm systems in the field. Customers are located throughout Sweden, which means that the position involves some travel and overnight stays. However, the majority of the work takes place on-site in the workshop in Jordbro. You will be introduced to a welcoming work environment where you will receive an introduction and support from colleagues.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

Job Duties

The role involves being responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of technical equipment, as well as providing technical support and advice to customers to ensure high functionality and customer satisfaction. Your job duties will include:

• Service, calibration, and repair of gas alarm systems and gas analysis systems
• Troubleshooting and replacement of sensors as needed
• Handling incoming service requests and customer contact
• Order placement in the business system
• Fieldwork with calibration of gas alarm systems (approximately 10–15 overnight stays per year)
• Documentation and reporting of completed work

Since Alfakomp is a smaller company, you may sometimes be required to assist with tasks outside your main area of responsibility, such as during deliveries. Therefore, we are looking for someone who is unpretentious, responsible, and has good collaboration skills.

WE ARE LOOKING FOR YOU WHO

• Has a technical education, either from high school or post-secondary level.
• Has knowledge in electricity and technology.
• Has good knowledge of Swedish and English, both spoken and written.
• Has a B driver's license.

It is an advantage if you have previous experience in a similar role as a service technician.
