Do you want to work with testing advanced software systems that control real products – and sometimes see how the technology works in practice? Framtiden is now looking for a software test engineer for a global technology company in Tumba. Here, you will play an important role in ensuring the quality of the software used in the company's automated systems.

You will be part of an engaged testing team that works closely with developers and test leaders. Together, you will ensure that new and existing software works as it should – from simulations in a lab environment to real-world use in the field.

Responsibilities

As a software test engineer, you will be responsible for planning, executing, and documenting tests of the system's software components. You will:

• Configure and maintain test environments with a focus on software
• Prepare and manage test data
• Implement, run, and document tests as well as report deviations
• Review test plans and contribute to improvements in the testing process
• Analyze requirements and specifications from a testing perspective
• Perform tests in both simulated environments and, if necessary, in real operation

The work is done in close collaboration with developers, test leaders, and other technical specialists.

Requirements

• Engineering degree in software, computer science, mechatronics, electronics, or similar
• Good understanding of testing and test development, preferably from studies or projects
• Strong experience in working systematically and carefully with documentation
• Fluent in Swedish and English, both spoken and written

Preferred Qualifications

• 1 year of experience in software testing or system testing
• Experience in network configuration or building test environments
• Interest in how software interacts with hardware
• Hobbies or personal projects related to programming, testing, or technology

About the Team

You will be part of a testing team of about 17 people working with software testing in advanced automated systems. The group has a fast pace and a culture characterized by collaboration, engagement, and practical problem-solving. Here, there are both test leaders and specialists with different backgrounds – some focus on software simulations, while others focus on how the systems work in real environments.
