The Cognitive Reception is part of Capio Geriatrics, located at Löwenströmska Hospital in the picturesque Upplands Väsby. Our clinic also includes two acute geriatric wards with 58 beds. 

With us, you will work alongside engaged colleagues with extensive experience in advanced dementia investigations. We are a small and close-knit team consisting of doctors, nurses, nursing assistants, occupational therapists, and psychologists – working together in bright, fresh premises with close access to management and quick decision-making paths.

As a specialist doctor at our cognitive reception, you will be responsible for conducting your own cognitive investigations. You will closely collaborate with colleagues from different professions in the team and participate weekly in team rounds. Your tasks will also include contact with relatives, follow-up visits, and return visits. When you feel ready, you will also mentor resident doctors as a natural part of the work.

• Permanent employment as a senior physician, 6 months probationary period
• Employment rate 70–80 %

• Working hours: Monday – Friday 8-16
• There is an opportunity to combine work at the reception with clinical work or on-call duties in the clinic's wards for those who wish for a more extensive service

We are looking for you who are a specialist doctor in geriatrics, psychiatry, or neurology, or a general practitioner with solid experience in geriatrics. You have a strong commitment to geriatric patients and their relatives, and feel a clear responsibility to contribute to their well-being. You are secure in your professional role, flexible, and unpretentious, with a strong desire to continuously develop and deepen your knowledge in advanced dementia investigations. You thrive in teamwork and have a patient-centered approach. Additionally, you are motivated by the opportunity to work closely with research where new investigation methods and medications are developed.
