Energy Engineer at Geocadia – Develop the Future's Geothermal Energy Solutions

At Geocadia, you will work with cutting-edge technology – where deep geothermal energy (up to 2000 meters) is used to create efficient and sustainable heating and cooling systems for properties.

We are now looking for an energy engineer who wants to work broadly with calculations, sizing, requirements specification, and technical development of energy systems. The role is central to the client's projects, and you will be an important link between technology, business, project management, and customer solutions.

About the Role

As an energy engineer at Geocadia, you are responsible for ensuring that energy system solutions maintain the highest technical and economic standards – from feasibility study to operation. You will work closely with the sales and project teams but will have an independent and technically deepened role where you contribute with qualified calculations, sizing, and technical documentation.

Your main responsibilities include:

• Performing technical analyses, energy calculations, and sizing of systems based on deep-drilled heat wells.
• Developing specifications, technical documentation, and procurement documentation for energy systems, components, and contracts.
• Acting as technical requirements support towards suppliers, consultants, and contractors.
• Conducting technical and economic comparisons between deep geothermal systems and other energy solutions (district heating, pellets, chips, heat pumps, etc.).
• Contributing to development projects, including the development of new heat pump solutions adapted for deep geothermal wells.
• Coordinating technical reviews between HVAC, electrical, control, and construction.
• Following up installations and analyzing operational data to verify function, efficiency, and performance.
• Participating as a technical specialist in bid evaluations and project meetings.
• Contributing to the development of Geocadia's internal guidelines and working methods for advanced energy and cooling systems.

You will work closely with the sales department to ensure that our quotes and project specifications are technically correct, sustainable, and competitive.

About You

You are a civil or university engineer in energy, mechanical engineering, HVAC, or a corresponding technical field and thrive in a role where analysis and practical system understanding meet. You are confident in calculating energy flows, making technical comparisons, and producing documentation that creates business value for customers and projects.

We are looking for someone who has:

• 3–5 years of experience in design, sizing, or calculation of energy systems.
• Understanding of heat pump systems, heat exchangers, and substations.
• Experience in technical requirements specification or procurement of energy technology systems.
• Good understanding of cooling and free cooling, as well as how these integrate into property systems.
• Ability to read and review technical drawings and system documents.
• Good knowledge of Swedish and English, both spoken and written.

Meritorious:

• Experience with deep geothermal systems or other types of advanced well solutions.
• Familiarity with procurement according to LOU or equivalent commercial procurements.
• Experience from consulting, contracting, or supplier roles within the energy sector.
• Knowledge of calculation tools such as EED, IDA ICE, Polysun, TRNSYS, or EnergyPlus.
• Experience in operational optimization, performance analysis, or environmental certification (BREEAM, Miljöbyggnad, etc.).
