Nursing Assistant for Cardiology Ward

Job Responsibilities

As a nursing assistant in our cardiology ward, you will work closely with patients.

Your main tasks will involve monitoring vital signs, providing care, handling telemetry and EKG, as well as participating in rounds. You will also document care provided, care plans, and risk assessments relevant to your patients in their medical records.

It is important to us that you build knowledge and can participate in various ways in the patient's care. We offer continuous professional development.

About the Workplace

Ward 5C is a cardiology ward where four of the beds provide cardiac intensive care. Patients primarily come from the emergency department, but we also have planned admissions from the heart clinic and transfers from other hospitals. Common diagnoses include heart and vascular-related diseases, arrhythmia investigations, or treatment of severe heart failure. The ward also provides postoperative care after coronary angioplasty, heart valve surgeries, and pacemaker and ICD implantations.

We are a cheerful team focused on the future! Here, we strive to continuously develop and refine our operations to deliver good care in a healthy work environment. This is important to us.

There is a patient care service team (VNS) connected to us that takes care of the ward's housekeeping, such as cleaning beds, preparing meals for patients, etc. This allows the patient care staff to concentrate on what they do best – caring for patients.

Qualifications

We are looking for someone who is a trained nursing assistant, preferably with experience in emergency care. You should have good knowledge of the Swedish language, both spoken and written.

You are expected to be attentive and have a professional approach towards patients, relatives, and your colleagues. Valuing collegial cooperation is a given for us. When the work requires it, you work just as well independently as you do in a team. We place great emphasis on personal suitability.

We are looking for someone who can work days and evenings as well as weekends, with a working time of 37 hours/week.
