The Home Care Administration is responsible for the needs of elderly people regarding care, support, housing, and activities. The administration is one of the municipality's largest workplaces with about 2,200 employees. We are constantly striving for development and renewal within our area of operations. JOB DESCRIPTION

We are looking for a new vision and hearing instructor for our preventive work in the Home Care Administration. In Halmstad Municipality, there are two vision and hearing instructors, one of whom is retiring.

As a vision and hearing instructor, you have a specialist function within vision and hearing. The tasks of the vision and hearing instructor include performing interventions aimed at the municipality's seniors, and in this role, you work with preventive measures to strengthen physical, mental, and social health for increased quality of life.

The work is varied, and your main tasks are:

• Create conditions for those with vision and/or hearing impairments to live a safe, active, and independent life.
• Advice, support, and training in the use and maintenance of vision and hearing aids.
• Guidance and motivational conversations regarding vision and hearing.
• Training and supervision for staff within the administration's operations.
• Informing and lecturing for associations and interest organizations.
• Collaboration with internal and external actors.

As a vision and hearing instructor, you have a specialist function within vision and hearing and have relevant education and/or experience in the field. You have a good ability to express yourself well in Swedish, both orally and in writing.

A driver's license for a manual transmission car is required as travel is part of the job.
