About the Job

As a psychologist with us, you will work with assessment, investigation, and treatment of children and adolescents. Treatment may occur both on an individual and group level. We work cross-professionally in teams. Collaboration with schools, social services, and other authorities is also an important part of the work.

About Us

Psychiatry Halland is Region Halland's administration for all public specialist psychiatry. This includes psychiatry for children, adolescents, and adults, both outpatient and inpatient care. Psychiatry Halland has approximately 850 employees and operations in all municipalities of the region. The psychiatry is led by an administrative manager, operational managers, and department heads.

The workplace is located in the hospital area in Halmstad. At the Child and Adolescent Psychiatry Clinic, about 50 people work. We are divided into two clinics with identical missions, each with its own department head, and we continuously expand our operations.

With us, psychologists, social workers, doctors, nurses, nursing assistants, special educators, occupational therapists, and medical secretaries work in teams. We offer specialist psychiatric assessment, diagnosis, investigation, and treatment through conversation and/or medication for children aged 0-17 years. Our goal is always to have a close and well-functioning collaboration with schools, social services, and other healthcare units to meet the needs of children and adolescents for a functioning network, thereby creating a whole.

About You

We are looking for you who are a licensed psychologist. Previous experience in treatment and investigation of children and adolescents is considered an advantage, as well as leading groups.

You have a clear patient focus and high ambitions in your professional role. Good collaboration skills and confidence in working both independently and in teams are fundamental qualities for the position. You are flexible in your working methods and dare to challenge and develop yourself on the way to our common goals. For you, it is natural to have a good approach towards patients, their relatives, and your colleagues. We are a team that enjoys working together and has good cohesion. We place great importance on personal suitability.
