The elderly care in Umeå municipality aims to be a resource that liberates and strengthens people's ability to live an independent life through proximity and interaction.

Dragonen's care and nursing home is located in Dragonfältet near Umeå city center.

The facility, built in 2008, features an outdoor environment with two large patios, generous balconies on each floor, and good opportunities for outdoor activities. The building has three floors with 96 rooms.

We are now looking for a confident nursing assistant to join our team. Are you the one we are looking for?

Your responsibilities

You will assist the residents with personal care and, upon delegation from the responsible nurse, perform medical tasks. Your duties will also include documenting actions and health status.

The care needs vary, and we work person-centered, helping individuals based on their different circumstances. Personal care and hygiene within the resident's room, as well as meal situations and social interaction in our common areas. We see the strengths in each person and help preserve their existing abilities.

You will work as a contact person, where the resident's participation is in focus. This ensures that interventions are carried out with good quality according to the assistance decision and implementation plan.

About you

We are looking for someone who is a trained nursing assistant, has experience in care work and medication delegation within elderly care. Knowledge of dementia and experience working with individuals with dementia is an advantage, as is knowledge of sign language.

Your interaction with residents requires good competence based on personal suitability, maturity, and empathetic ability. You demonstrate a strong commitment to both the users and the operations in all relationships and actions. You enjoy working independently and are patient and proactive. You have a good ability to collaborate and cooperate with colleagues, relatives, and other professionals.

To communicate with users, relatives, and colleagues, write and access care documentation, and receive medication delegation, you need to have good knowledge of the Swedish language in both spoken and written form.
